FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ju-Ju-Be, LÍLLÉbaby, Kanga Care & Clek Announce Extraterrestrial Collaboration With Tokidoki
Los Angeles, CA (January 6, 2016) – Today, four leading brands in the juvenile gear and accessories industry – Ju-Ju-Be, LÍLLÉbaby, Kanga Care and Clek – announced the coordinated release of their products featuring a never-before-seen, space themed tokidoki print. Previously, all four companies have collaborated with tokidoki, the pop culture brand meaning “sometimes” in Japanese, but never at the same time and with the same print. Ju-Ju-Be’s wide variety of bags and accessories, and LÍLLÉbaby’s COMPLETE baby carrier, will be available on Tuesday, January 19th in stores internationally and online at www.ju-ju-be.com and www.LILLEbaby.com respectively. And then on Friday, February 19th Kanga Care’s cloth diapers and Clek’s child passenger safety seats will be available for purchase in stores internationally and online at www.kangacare.com and www.clekinc.com respectively. The Ju-Ju-Be, LÍLLÉbaby and Kanga Care collections will also be available at www.tokidoki.it.
Adorned with extraterrestrial costumes, accessories and icons, tokidoki’s space themed print features an all-star cast of characters from the tokidoki universe playing under a starry-skied night.
Since debuting in 2005, tokidoki has amassed a cult-like following for its larger‐than-life characters and emerged as a sought after global lifestyle brand. tokidoki celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2015 and commemorated the momentous occasion with a yearlong tribute to #tokidoki10ve.
“We are thrilled to begin 2016 with such an exciting cross-brand collaboration, that is sure to delight tokidoki moms, dads and their little ones.” said Pooneh Mohajer, co-founder & CEO of tokidoki. Simone Legno, co-founder & Creative Director of tokidoki added, “This is the first time I have designed a print that was specifically intended for multiple categories, and I am so excited it has come to life with these partners in an ever expanding category for us.”
“Ju-Ju-Be’s collaborations with tokidoki last year were out-of-this-world successful!,” said Kristin Hunziker, Ju-Ju-Be’s co-founder. “The coordinated release of ‘Space Place’ with our friends at LÍLLÉbaby, Kanga Care and Clek demonstrates just how well loved tokidoki has become in the juvenile space. We’re excited that our fans will finally get to purchase one or more of the sixteen different styles Ju-Ju-Be is releasing in this awesome new print.”
“During 2015, we learned first-hand the power and appeal of tokidoki and are thrilled to start off the new year with them, along with some of our favorite brands in the industry: Ju-Ju-Be, Kanga Care, and Clek,” said LÍLLÉbaby’s founder Lisbeth Lehan. “The whimsical, playful flair that tokidoki brings to our carrier collection has been wildly successful worldwide, and we’re happy to be offering ‘Space Place’ in several styles. We’re over-the-moon excited that LÍLLÉbaby fans will have the chance to enjoy this unique print on our carriers and collect coordinating pieces from the other fantastic brands in this collaboration!”
“Heading into our second year as part of the tokidoki family, we continue to be amazed by the amount of energy generated by the tokidoki launches,” said Julie Ekstrom, President & CEO of Kanga Care. “Both our 2015 tokidoki print releases were the most successful launches in our 9 years of bringing innovative and fashion forward prints to the cloth diapering market. We are honored to be launching tokiSpace, our tokidoki Space Place collaboration, with our good friends at Ju-Ju-Be, LÍLLÉbaby and Clek and couldn’t ask for better company on this journey!”
“The tokidoki for Clek partnership has been a great way to expand upon our design DNA since we first collaborated with them in 2013,” explained Clek President, Chris Lumley. “We are excited to continue our partnership with tokidoki in the launch of the space print along with other respected brands in the juvenile industry.”
Ju-Ju-Be was started by the dynamic duo of diaper bags. Despite the great fashion (and even some great features) of the other brands, there were still some things lacking. No one had put to use the latest in technology. No one had successfully acted on the idea that fashion and function are not mutually exclusive. No one else had delved into the deep realm of microbes and anti-stick coatings. Everyone else said that diaper bags aren’t rocket science. Ju-Ju-Be thinks they can be. Along with being a lot of fun! Ju-Ju-Be bags are available at premium boutiques everywhere including Nordstrom, Buy Buy Baby and www.ju-ju-be.com.
